Township Administration Office

Hours: Monday through Friday10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm

The Township Treasurer is in on Wednesdays except at tax time. Taxes are collected taxes on Mondays from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and Fridays from 10:00am to 5:00pm during the months of December, January and February. After February, the property taxes are delinquent and are collected at the Cass County Treasurer's Office.

Building permits are required before any construction begins in Porter Township. Permits may be obtained at the Porter Township Administration Office each Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Porter Township Board of Review

The Board of Review meets with the Assessor and Supervisor in March, July and December to review the tax rolls, correct errors and hear appeals regarding property assessments.

The Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations for ordinances for the township and updates the Porter Township Master Plan as needed. They meet at least quarterly and on an as needed basis
